Wil je de filmindustrie beter leren kennen – of wil je het belangrijkste filmfestival ter wereld eens meemaken? Het Filmfestival van Cannes is zonder enige twijfel het meest toonaangevende, belangrijkste filmfestival ter wereld – en zeker het meest prestigieuze.
In Cannes ligt de focus op het leren kennen van de filmwereld zelf. Je krijgt gegarandeerd intensieve les van onze acteerdocent, maar we houden de nadruk vooral op alles wat er tijdens het festival te doen is en dat is heel wat.
Tijdens onze workshop maak je het hele filmfestival mee als professional, wat een volledig andere ervaring is.
Duur: 14-22 mei, 2024
Prijs: 2.750 euro tot 1 december 2023, daarna 2.950 euro. In deze prijs zijn inbegrepen: vliegtuigreis, verblijf, ontbijt, een lunchpakket, transport van Nice tot Cannes en terug, de lessen en alle shows. Wie ook de workshop naar Los Angeles en Las Vegas volgt, krijgt een aantrekkelijke korting.
Net zoals onze cursussen, zijn workshops niet terugbetaalbaar na de initiële wettelijke beslissingsperiode van 14 dagen.
Cannes Day Plan
For the Cannes Film Festival we do not publish a daily schedule. The reason for this is that the film program itself is only announced a few weeks before the film festival and we never know which parties will take place when. This keeps us flexible, so that we can decide together with our students who does what and when!

Every year, Badass Intensive Acting brings two workshops to LA and Vegas – the world’s leading film city and the world’s leading entertainment city, respectively. In Los Angeles, the focus is on acting lessons by both Badass Intensive Acting acting teachers and top teachers from Los Angeles itself, including the teacher of Scarlet Johansson, Drew Barrymore, Giovanni Ribisi and also Anthony Hopkins, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie; the teacher of many famous TV faces; and the teacher of Will Ferrell and Matthew Perry, among others.

Please note: even the renowned acting coaches require a lot of flexibility from us. It can always happen that a teacher is replaced by a teacher with the same charisma and status if a coach is unexpectedly no longer available.
Acting workshop Richie Chance & Dirk Vandereyken in Ghent & Brussels

In February, none other than Richie Chance will return to our classrooms!
Richie is one of Hollywood's most renowned teachers and, together with his parents, Bobbie and Larry Chance, they run the Hollywood Actor's Showcase, with which Badass Intensive Acting Studios officially partners. Together they trained stars such as Scarlett Johanson, Giovanni Ribisi and Drew Barrymore, and many other top performers have shared their acting studio with them during their lessons, including Brad Pitt, Jennifer Aniston and Anthony Hopkins.
During this workshop, students will record a video together with Richie.

What can you expect:
During the course, the acting students are prepared to record a film together. The films are then professionally edited, provided with sound and more, after which they are made available to all students and placed online - on various channels!
Acteerworkshop Maxim Jago & Dirk Vandereyken in Londen (voorbij, onze volgende workshop in Londen gaat eind oktober 2023 door in Londen - meer info volgt)

Niet alleen zal je in Londen les krijgen van Maxim Jago en Dirk, het zal gebeuren bij de acteursvakbond. Bovendien gaan we samenzitten met twee regisseurs/producers die je alles zullen vertellen over de filmwereld en komen er nog meer activiteiten.
Over Maxim Jago
Maxim is een zeer bekende ‘public speaker’ en een van de meest veelzijdige, productiefste coaches van Adobe. Hij heeft al meer dan 2.000 officiële instructiefilmpjes gemaakt voor Adobe, vooral rond postproductie voor films of tv-series en de allernieuwste mediatechnologie. Softwarepakketten als Adobe Premiere Pro en Adobe After Effects, waar een erg groot deel van de (Hollywood)producties mee wordt bewerkt, hebben dus geen enkel geheim meer voor hem… maar daar eindigt het zeker niet. Zo werkt hij ook voor andere giganten, waaronder HP, Grass Valley en Avid. Hij heeft bovendien al gesproken op de meest toonaangevende filmfestivals ter wereld, waaronder die van Cannes, Sundance, Raindance, NAB, IBC, TIFF én BVE.
Onze gastleraar is de organisator van het jaarlijkse Creativity Conference, waar tot 50 tot 100 van ‘s werelds creatiefste geesten drie dagen lang lezingen geven: schrijvers, regisseurs, acteurs, producers, schilders, beeldhouwers, en ga zo maar door. Tijdens het Filmfestival van Cannes is hij een van de twee gastheren van de party die op slechts 2 jaar tijd is uitgegroeid tot het meest gegeerde feestje van het hele festival: The Pajama Party, een concept dat dit jaar ook op andere internationale filmfestivals zal geïntroduceerd worden… en dat is nog buiten alle andere feestjes die hij tijdens filmfestivals voor anderen organiseert gerekend.
Wie dacht dat de toekomst er wat grauw uitziet, raden we aan om zeker ook eens naar Maxim te luisteren. Hij heeft zich als futurist immers gespecialiseerd in A.I., autonome robotica, cryptocurrency, smarttechnologie, internationale crowdfunding, het klimaat en nog veel meer. Zijn boek daarover heeft het erg goed gedaan en Maxims nieuwste oeuvre, een filosofisch werk, is eveneens klaar om gepubliceerd te worden.
Maxims nieuwste film als regisseur, It’s Haunted, zit momenteel in het postproductieproces. Zijn doel als filmmaker? Nieuw talent een kans geven en verhalen vertellen die boeien. Het belangrijkste voor hem? Creativiteit en het kunnen vertellen van een goed verhaal. Tijdens onze workshop zal hij het uitgebreid hebben over hoe je jouw verbeelding kunt aanwenden om een betere acteur of filmmaker te worden, terwijl hij je ook zal tonen hoe je meer verhaal kunt injecteren in de manier waarop je acteert, in jouw ‘subtext’, of in het materiaal dat je zelf regisseert of filmt. Natuurlijk krijg je ook oefeningen en mag je Maxim naar hartenlust vragen stellen over de vele bekende filmmakers en acteurs waar hij al mee heeft samengewerkt of de bekende producties waar hij zelf achter de schermen aan heeft gesleuteld.

We all know how hard it is to get into the film business. Especially when you are not yet known, your face easily gets lost in the crowd. That is why we organize a showcase a few times a year for 3 to 5 casting agents, casting directors, managers and/or talent agents, some from Belgium and 1 or 2 from abroad. What is new is that we plan a full day of live preparation, and the showcase itself will be done live, streamed and recorded! You can choose whether you want to speak Dutch or English.
Duration: 1 day + preparations

What can you expect:
February 3: Lunch and sightseeing with Cheryl (optional). Cheryl will talk for 4 hours about her experiences as a talent agent and now also as a producer, and answer any questions you may have.
February 4: Sightseeing and dinner with Cheryl (optional) + 4 hours of lessons. This time Cheryl will mainly give acting tips, talk about how to approach auditions, what is expected of your resume and portfolio, etc.
February 5: Preparation. You will each prepare a scene for Cheryl to judge. Then there will be a showcase for Cheryl and a few other distinguished guests. Now you can show Cheryl what you've got! She will direct you and give you tips.
Everything is recorded and the film is made available afterwards.
Improvisatieworkshop + show met Kent Skov

Het is eindelijk weer zover! Na de vorige twee succesvolle workshops van topper Kent Skov in België, keert Kent volgende zomer terug en ook deze keer zal je weer samen met hem op de planken kunnen staan tijdens een heuse theatershow… waar je mogelijk een gedeelte van jouw workshopgeld zelfs mee kunt terugverdienen!

Over Kent
Kent Skov richtte L.A. Connection op in 1977. Skov was lid van het artiestencomité in San Francisco, waar hij samenwerkte met Del Close. Skov heeft samengewerkt met Second City-oprichter Paul Sills en de Oscarwinnende regisseurs Marty Pasetta, Lou Horvitz en Don Mischner. Hij is lid van diverse internationaal gerenommeerde vakbonden voor acteurs en filmmakers, waaronder DGA, WGA en SAG/Aftra.
Doorheen de jaren werkte Kent mee aan vele legendarische late night-variétéshows, waaronder die van Dolly Parton, Rick Dees en Alan Thicke. Skov was het brein achter de vooruitstrevende en immens populare nasynchronisatieserie Mad Movies, die 7 jaar lang te zien was op Nick at Night, MTV en allerlei verschillende tv-kanalen – een boek over dat project staat momenteel op stapel.
Skov werd genomineerd voor een CableAce Award voor ‘Beste comedyspecial’ op A&E Network, en heeft tijdens zijn rijke carrière deals gesloten met Dick Clark, Syfy, Fox, Disney, Universal, ABC, NBC, A&E en MGM, om er maar een paar te noemen. Op dit moment heeft Skov 3 series in ontwikkeling met de MPPTV-producenten van Ghost Stories op A&E.
